Snowmobiles

Yes, finally, the post I promised about the guy's snowmobiles! Didn't want you all to think this blog was becoming a Norah blog. lol We're just pretty crazy about her right now. ;)

We still have almost no snow, which is unbelievable for Wisconsin! Been a funny winter. The guys run up and down the frozen river, and D.J. goes along on the fourwheeler sometimes.
Ben's Jag.
He can get up some pretty good speed on it! Look at that, his helmet even matches his sled.

Here's a short video of Elijah on his snowmobile, the day it bit the dust. The track had already broken once but he repaired it enough to take a few last jumps with it. He got a lot of fun out of that snowmobile for the $50 he spent for it!
And guess what -- he's already bought another one! Looks like the snowmobiling bug has hit the family. Stephen found an older cheap one too and brought it home yesterday. Our poor neighbors. lol
And today Katie, D.J. and I are going to buy our snowmobile! Think we'll have enough around the place?!

Of course you're all crazy about Norah right now. But let me warn you, you'll only get more and more crazy about her. :-)
The snowmobiles look like fun--I'm sure it would be even better with a little more snow.
It's too bad that Elijah's bit the dust, but at least he was able to ride enough to know that he wanted to get another one.
I'm sure you will all have many hours of fun!

Not to scare you guys, but I am a former emergency room doctor turned stay-at-home mom. I once attended a trauma course for E.R. doctors run by an older doctor who used to work as an orthopedic surgeon in Minn. and Wisc. and he said that the snowmobilers there would go flying off their machines and land in snow drifts to where they would just literally split their pelvises right in two. That pretty much quashed my urge to ever go snowmobiling in my life!

I believe you! And I will make sure the kids all read this. I am NOT crazy about snowmobiles, but my husband gave them permission to buy them, so I am trusting his leadership in this. I will definitely be praying! My husband and my oldest son have been first responders for years, and while over the past 10 years, they have been on many calls, I can only remember about two that were for snowmobiles. We have actually heard more calls for accidents involving horses . . . not too crazy about those either! Thanks for writing.
