A New Family Picture

Beautiful fall -- what a great time to take the new family picture. First we'll park Elijah's truck in front of the apple tree . . . but wait, the sun is in our eyes, and we'll all be squinting. Besides, two of us aren't quite done with our hair -- guess which two? Hint: neither are male members of the family. :) And we'll never get this done if you guys keep eating apples.
Ok, so in front of the barn in the shade is much better. Only problem is, we have too much of the gravel showing and not enough of the people. Or the dog. Or Elijah's truck. (Betsy is covering the tail lights, and Stephen is in front of the very cool exhaust pipe.) Can't have that! Try again.
Well, this is better, but wait a second . . . several of the boys are not smiling. Sigh. And how come Elijah's brake lights are on? Who is in the truck pushing them? The kitten? Can't be . . . maybe an idea for a new mystery?
All right, we'll take this one! We don't look perfect, but then, we aren't perfect. And at least Elijah's very cool exhaust pipe is showing, if you'll look carefully. That's important! At least for Elijah . . .

Another year of happiness and blessings from the Lord. We are grateful.

This is kinda like the stuff we do when we're trying to take a new family photo. Lately, for some reason, we usually get these really funny photos of people when they aren't ready, and then comes the final picture.

P.S. That is a really interesting exhaust pipe. Chrome?
